Rob, I agree with what Richard said. However it must be noted that if you are going to show the car at MARC or MAFCA meets then to get the highest points you must follow the 'Judging Standards'. The judging standards themselves say that they are not perfect and are an ongoing process that will never be finished. I beleive that there is a difference between 'original' and meeting the standards. Any one car may have an original feature that is wrong according to the standards.Do not get me wrong the standards get better all the time, in the 50's a well restored Model A would have an engine and frame that were polished smooth with a gloss finish. If you follow the standards you will make your car as close to the way it should have been when it left the factory as possible with todays knowledge. Now for the colors there are 6 combinations for your car. BodyUpper BackBelt/Molding Reveals Stripe Niagara Niagara DuchessDuchess French Arabian Copra CopraFrenchFrench DawnGunmetalDawn DawnStraw Niagara Niagara Niagra Duchess French GunmetalBlack BlackBlack Black Blcak Black BlackBlack Black These tables never seem to come out right, I hope you can read it. If you do not use one of these combinations you will loose points in a MARC or MAFCA meet. Bob |
