stuck trans

Last fall I bought my first "A". I have several "T" cars and enjoy driving and working on them but I decided it was time to go to a "modern" car. I knew of three "A" cars for sale, a 29 roadster, a leatherback and a right hand drive pheaton. All were priced the same and reasonablly complete and decent. I may not have chosen the best buy but I like the roadster so I opted for that one. The car was not really restored but had been painted and had motor work done about 20 years ago. When put away it was running and driving. The problem is this-The motor had been removed and had who knows what done to it. it was reinstalled and painted and rewired etc, looks nice. While the assembly was apart someone cleaned the transmission very good and neglected to add ANY oil. When I moved the car it was in neutral and wouldn't shift. I pulled the top off and discovered the gears are one solid piece of rust due to condensation. I have other gearboxes to replace but I would like to get this one free to move the car under its own power before I remove the motor to replace. I have let it soak all winter with motor oil but still it is stuck. Can I drain the oil and put anything in so the gearshift will move? I have not started the car yet, just got everything firing at the points and gas to the carb. If I get another couple of hours I would like to start the engine. I am not ready to begin this project yet since I am finishing a 29 pickup for my dad and finishing a 26 fronty dirt track car for myself.Any miracle products that won't get into the engine and harm the babbit? I thought about adding some muratic acid for a good soak but don't want it leaking past the seals into the crankcase. Thanks--Tim
