Amen your comments, Scott - depending on the location and magnitude of the crack a repair could be affected that would be reliable in nature.

In my earlier note I forgot to mention that the transmission case in the early transmission didn't have the four Tapped holes to bolt the main bearing retainer to since that function was performed by the bell housing. The pilot shaft Main ball bearing is the same for either clutch, but the Multiple plate doesn't have a separate bearing retainer / Throwout nose piece.

I have heard rumors that the clutch disks may be very similar to the Model "T" clutch parts, but don't know for sure.I don't know of any source for disks in case they were needed.
