I have an original Model A starter drive which recently malfunctioned. When I removed the starter, I noticed that the screws had come out of the drive thus loosening the spring andcreating the problem.Looking through the "Service Bulletins" (p.571) mention is made of 2 starter drive spring support clips - part A-11383 being needed to support the spring. My drive did not have those clips on it.Is this why the screws came out?Model A parts catalogs do not even list this part(A-11383) as being available.Do the new starter drives have this part or are they made differently. Also, how concerned should I be about trying to fish the 2 screws out of the bell housing?Could they get locked up in the ring gear?
