James,
You said the wishbone was tightened, I take this to mean the radius ball which is located on the clutch housing and it to be the original style with the springs on the bolts. It could still be too loose due to wear of all the elements involved with the ball joint. A quick fix is to replace the whole affair with a socket replacement set that uses a rubber ball to eliminate wear, Bratton's part number A 3440-R, but most the large vendor's carry them. It works well and very common but the ball needs to be replaced at least once a year which is A 3446 from Bratton's.

This area takes a pounding so things wear fast. Also check the spring perches and make sure they are tight.
