: Ihave a new rear view mirror to install on the upper front door hinge. Now this hinge is siezed up and will not come out.
: Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I might do this without damage.

Well Henry you have a lot of good advice below. I am also a believer in Rost Off. You can not find Wurth products all over but Imparts in St. Louis has it and will ship it to you. Cost is $6.50. By the way, I use it for cutting oil with drills also. The c clamp set up sounds like it will work but there is a paint damage danger. Do you have any touch up paint for the hinges? If so carefully take the paint off the bottom of the hinge with a razor. Then use the Rost Off three or four times in 48 hours. Next use the c clamp putting the socket on the hinge where you took the paint off. When you are done, repaint with touch up. It is easier to paint the entire edge of the hinge since you really don't have to blend in the paint. Besides it will be on the bottom where it is hard to see.
Good luck, Ray
