VIN..vin...we don't need no stinkin' vin

a's didn't have vin as such...the used the engine number. It's located , obviously on the engine, and was also stamped on the frame, on the drivers side behind the first body bolt and in front of the sub rail. you'll have to remove the body and splash apron to find it...if it hasn't rusted into oblivion. most people use the engine number. there's been alot of discussion below on this topic also. luck jm
