When the Slant windshield models were designed, all the bodies were supplied the same, and the Murray style window tops were adopted. This eliminated having to stock all the different trim items, etc. etc. etc. As noted in earlier posts, there may be some differences in attached nuts (Ds or Caged)but the bodies are basically identical from Ford, Murray, or Briggs.
There is a good chance that all the blindback bodies were done by Briggs, but that is pure speculation based on circumstantial evidence. (Briggs did the other blindbacks, and with such a small production run, it's doubtful that more than one body die was made) Now that I've made such a rash statement, I'm donning my armor!!
