Slant Window Sedans were the first Ford Fordors to have a basically steel composition, much unlike the major wood components of earlier Model A Fordors.

This body style was also unique because Briggs, Murray and Ford produced SW Fordors were built to the same blueprints. Thus, all body panels are identical.

While it's true that there were three different manufacturers, the nut fasteners (and the reputed existance of body plates on some cars) will be the only differences.

The 160-C shown in Cass's photo was called the "Deluxe Fordor", nearly identical to the Town Sedan except it lacked the rear quarter side windows. Thus, it's referred to as the Blindback. As you know, I too own one of these sedans.

The 160-C was introduced in March, 1931 but were discontinued just a few months later - my research shows that fewer than 5000 (and perhaps closer to 2500) of these cars were ever produced. I've never heard of any owners reporting they have a car with the indented firewall that appeared in April/May 1931.

If anyone else out there knows of the identity of a 160-C owner, I'd appreciate that information, as I'm compiling an owner's roster.
