: : What is best book for meticulous step by step nothing left out to complete a quality tune up.

: Hi Tom,

: Humble opinion: Some smaller books cover specific topics in more detail; however, for a "single" book, "Model A Ford Mechanics Handbook" by Les Andrews, is difficult to surpass -- no doubt the best technical, detailed, written mechanics handbook on the planet ever written in the 20th century, with over 500 illustrations, over 400 pages, step by step illustrated procedures, which cover: Service and repair, removal, overhaul, reinstallation, service adjustements, alignments, lubrication, maintenance intervals, troubleshooting, diagnosis of car troubles with cause and correction, capacities, specifications, engine numbers/dates, preventative maintenance, safety check list, bolt torque, and cotter pin usage.

Amen to the opinion that Les Andrews Shop Manual is the very best. It's easy to get too! Look in any of the many Model A catalogs or in The Restorer or Model A News.
