Double clutch

Are you double clutching ?

You most likely already know about double clutching, but if by chance you do not know read the following.

Since the transmition in a Model A does not have syncromesh to change gears you should double clutch. You depress the clutch, shift into neutral, release the clutch, tap the gas, then depress the clutch, and when the engine is spinning at the right rpm shift into second. The right speed is when the rpm of the engine are correct for the car speed and gear that you are shifting into. Basically you want the engine and the transmission spining at the same speed (or as close at you can get) before you shift from neutral into second.
