: I have a 1930tudor. When driving it likes to wonder side to side in the lane. This is very bad with a side wind. I have replaced the kingpins and front spring shackles and had the frontend alined.Plus, the steeringbox rebuilt.Would like any suggesions that may help.Thank-you

Wondering steering when all suspension adn steering parts are tight would seem to point to wheel alignment even though you say you have had that done.Specifically it sounds as though you do not have enough POSITIVE CASTER.If you can picture the caster on a grocery cart that keeps turning around to go the direction that you are pushing the cart then you have the grasp of positive caster. It only takes a few degrees off to cause problems. If your front end has Negative Caster then it is like pushing the cart backwards and trying to keep the caster wheel from not turning around, it keeps trying to turn around. The Kingpin should be tilted such that a line thru the kingpin will hit the ground in front of the point of contact between the tire and the surface of the road.King pin straight up and down is Zero Caster. You need a little Positive Caster to go straight down the road and not wander but too much makes the car hard to steer.
