Gary,

It would make sense for such a correlation to be recorded.However, I've never found a reference to any such records.Even retired Ford engineers I've met that were researching A's in the fifties found nothing.In addition many records were destroyed by fire (in the sixties I believe) so if any such records ever existed, they don't anymore.

For identification purposes we must rely on the dating of all the various components which make up a car and it is usually possible to date the actual production of a car within approximately two weeks.Unfortunately we can never be certain that a Sport coupe (for example) is on it's original chassis once it is restored, if it is combined with components that match the possible production period of the body.
