I have installed the 8 cylinder version in a daily driven 66 Mustang and it has worked fine for about a year now.The principle of operation is the same for any engine.I would point out that the term electronic "system" is misleading in that I believe it is simply a Hall effect device that replaces the points with a magnet and sensor/ignition coil driver. It is not a high energy ignition system as used on a modern car.In fact you will have slightly less spark since there is a small voltage drop across the coil driving device while the original points had almost no drop but that is a small concern and posed no problem in the Mustang but it had a 12v system.Biggest gripe I have is that you need to run an extra wire to power the thing which can be seen but again no big deal. Its main advantage would be to those cars driven enough to need regular point maintenance.

Just my $.02
