I have owned a 1929 wagon since 1967 and have refinished it twice during that time. The first time I used regular spar varnish. There was really no problem with this but when I wanted to redo the finish in 1991, my paint supplier recommended a material from Old Masters called "Poly Plastic".The can label describes this as "Tung Oil Spar Varnish".This was very easy to work with and has held up very well.I use this vehicle for a lot of touring so it does see all kinds of weather.Being in Wisconsin, it is not used during the winter months, however. Why not go to a paint speciality store and find out what they might recommend? They are up-to-date on the latest coatings andthere have been a lot of changes in coatings in the last few years.

Good Luck, Dennis
