Todd,
I was interested to read the responses to your questions.I have a similar situation with a '29 Tudor. The responses you received were all correct and contained good advice.

I do believe though that some of your basic questions were not addressed. The majority of Model A people I have dealt with are honest and reliable people. Some people who deal in Model A vehicles and parts will skin you pretty good if you are not careful.

Most states have civil and criminal solutions to a misrepresentation of ownership to a licnesed vehicle. Legal advice is much cheaper than legal action, so don't rule this option out.

Hemming's has a service which trys to help resolve this type of issue when the vehicle was advertised in catalog.

The identification punch sets you refer to must be used by some people and seems to be an ethical issue to me.

Contact the seller and ask for his advise on how to settle this matter, it could be that a mistake was made. Without a doubt this is his problem also.

If you ever decide to sell your roadster this issue could come back to haunt you.

Good Luck - Benny
