: I have a Model A fiber glass replica built on a VW chassis with an International Harvester engin. Can any on give me any idea of it resal value. The car is in good condition and was built in 1967 or so. I remember these. They were called a Glassic. The first body styles I they made was the 2-door phaeton on the International chasses. Later, they switchted to Ford in the early 1970s and added a roadster. They looked almost "real", but the radiator shell was funny and so were the wheels. DOn't know how you'd establish "what's it worth?" - whatever someone offers ya, I'd guess. I just looked thru my old replicar stuff and came up with an ad from the Los Angeles Times dated July 28, 1974.It's pen-and-ink illustration, not a photograph, but the car is a red roadster with black fenders. Some of the text says "Drive a Smilemobile and the whold world smiles with you.. The new Glassic is a hand-crafted fiberglass with a Ford V-8 and automatic transmission covered by Ford warranty and service nationwide...Price: $8900 FOB Palm Beach FL.... The Glassic Motor Car Company, 250 South County Road, palm Beach Florida 33480." Send me your fax number and I'll send you a copy. -------------------- |
