??????CARBERATOR SIZE FOR 305??????????

Ive built an all stock 305 camaro engine and i want to get a 650 or 750 cfm carb. but someone told me if i go 750 then it will put more gas in the engine than it can burn causing it to bog down when it's floored.
is this true???
please help
