Head Gaskets

Trying to put a 6:1 B-F head on a B block but having a problem as the B head gasket hangs out into the combustion area and will probably cause problems.The A gasket does not completely cover the two small water jacket holes associated with stud #1 located between cylinders 2 & 3.
Has anyone used the B-F head on a B block?If so, what head gasket did you use?Some have suggested that we close the two small holes by tapping them and fitting with a screw.May be the way to go but would like to hear from others that have had some experience with the problem before doing that to the block.
Could run a B head but would like the 6:1 CR and would like to keep the A water pump set up.
