Hi Craig, as you can probably see, after you have removed the screws from the hinge on the door, the only thing holding it is the countersunk area of the door sheetmetal. The hinge itself is also countersunk so the sheetmetal fits down into that area and won't let it slide out easily. You will have to pry the sheetmetal up high enough to get the hinge to slip out.
There are no threads in the hinge, in fact I think the hole in the hinge is just a little larger than the screw. The screws pass through the hinge into the "clinch nuts" in the door frame. The only thing that holds the hinge tight to the door is that the four screws are drawn down into the countersunk area and pull the whole assembly tightly together.
