Has anyone tried the gell cell batteries in their A's?They have the lead plates wrapped around fiberglass? pads that absorb the acid. They are virually impossable to ruin with vibration, and they hold a charge much longer with no use than a standard battery.Know a guy locally that has a fleet of dump trucks, runs them in all of his trucks and claims that even after they sit all winter (10 months or so here in MN :-)) they always start without charging in the spring.Talked to one guy who claimed he left his sitting over 18 months and it still started.

They are expensive, and they don't look like a standard battery (sides of the cases are rounded to form around the spirals on the one's I have seen), so you wouldn't want to use one in a show car, but they are supposed to last 10+ years

Any expereinces with these out there?

Gary

: My NAPA #7200 6 volt battery just expired after two and a half years of use. I use a Battery Tender when not running.I guess I got my money's worth out of it since it only came with a two yr. prorated guarantee. Paid $46 and change for it.

: Where can I get a decent 6 volter in the above price range (besides NAPA).I want to try to find something local and I live in Miami, Fl.Any ideas? THANKS
