I just thought I'd throw in my 2 cents worth. If you drive your car often, a less-expensive battery will probably work well for you.If you're like many Model A'ers and drive the car infrequently, the cheaper batteries won't last as well as the more expensive ones when they're used infrequently.

The battery I just replaced was the best 6 volt Group 1 truck battery that our local (Medford Oregon) farm supply store could find.I believe it was an Interstate brand.Cost $40.Lasted over 5 years, and my car is stored from November to April every year.

My only complaint about most modern group 1 batteries is that the case is smaller than the original Model A battery and doesn't fit snugly in the battery box.I used some wood shims at opposite corners and that worked out fine.
