Headlight Sockets

I'm about at my wits end with two repo light sockets that I recently purchased. They simply fell apart where the conduit meets the back of the headlamp shell. The second one easly or eagerly shorts out. I'm no longer amused by the sight of smoke coming out of my left headlight, really. Before I lose whats left of my sanity, can anyone help? I need a good original headlight socket or a good modern replacement, I don't care which. I just want a safe replacement and no longer want to deal with any more of this inferior repo junk. Can anyone help? Rick
