Maybe, that is the answer.

Curt,

First you should make sure that it is your radiator which is causing the problem. First make sure that it is truly boiling over and not spilling over. Boiling over would involve a lot of steam from the overflow tube. If it is spilling over you would have only water. Check the temperature of the water at the top of the radiator, if it is over 200 deg. you are boiling over. If it is spilling over you have one of tthree problems. Either the water pump is pushing too much water or the radiator is cloged and not passing enough or the baffle at the top of the inside of the radiator is missing. Now if you are boiling over you could have one or more of the following. The fuel mixture is too lean, check the plugs. The timing is off, check the timing. The radiator is not cooling the water. This could be caused by too much paint on the radiator core which will prevent heat transfer to the air or by bad or broken solder joints between the tubes and the core. I saved the most likely for last. You could have blocked tubes in the radiator which prevents water from passing through all of the tubes in the radiator. If this is the case the solution is to have the radiator 'rodded'. This is a fairly simple thing but requires the removal of either the top or bottom tank. Once the tank is removed you just ram a rod into each tube to clean it out. Then solder back the tank and your back in business. However the easy way is to just buy a new radiator.
