:
: : What are the best chassis or frame front to upgrade a Model A?

: : I hear that a Mustang II is good with better brakes, springs, stearing wheel, etc.

: Jim,
: Do what you want with your car. If you read the Opener to this board it is open to all people with model A's and in fact '40 and older fords. There seems to be a few people on this board that are determined to run off others that they don't agree with. They try to do it very nicely though. I believe there were over 4 million model A's built and if all of the remaining ones were perfectly restored it would get pretty boreing.
: Ifor one would hope you stay in touch with our board.
:I think the mustang 2 front end works fine if you like that look. I like the look of a dropped I-beam axle though. I wonder what some Kesly-Hayes wire wheels would look like?
:Anyways come back.

hello again jim and hotrod,

i agree with you about kelsey-hayes wheels---i just got a set for my own ford----looks are a personal preference, but i've always heard that they are a little stronger than the ford welded wire wheels.

about drop front axles---see if you can look up on marty costello, of oakland, cal., who called his shop "mor-drop".
years ago, he made up drop axles for the hot-rodders, and i've been told that his were very high quality.

don't think you'd like to hear my opinion of a hybrid chassis, welded up from bits and pieces, tho.
