: What are the best chassis or frame front to upgrade a Model A? : I hear that a Mustang II is good with better brakes, springs, stearing wheel, etc. Hi Jim, Welcome to the board, I expect Carla is probably right. There may be some but most of the folks who visit this board are more inclined to help you with the original setup. At one time, Dale had a hot rod board but I haven't tried to visit it since "the move".I'm not even sure whether it is still operating at all.I'm by no means trying to "run you off", but there are several sites that are oriented more to street rods. Now to the original question, and this may get me a few cat calls, but reading the street rod magazines and wandering around a few cruises, it seems that the Mustang II front end is a very popular modification on a lot of the rods and there are a bunch of suppliers that advertise parts and even whole set ups using these front ends. Can't really vouch for these but they are relatively inexpensive and plentiful and with the supplier base, you probably won't go wrong with it. I still hate to see a Model A that misses the restoration route and becomes a mix of new and old technology. But different strokes for different folks. Good luck with your project. John
