A good filter that can be usedif you like the small size is a Baldwin PA1748 for under $5.00 it about 1/2 inch longer so you need a longer bolt and the rubber outside the wire mesh must be trimed off, but for the price Iwill take the time.JW.

Does it need to be replaced when dirty or only removed, cleaned, oiledand re-installed?If that were the case, it's a no brainer!Nothing runs like a Deere they say, and I can use all the help I can get!
