Have recently purchased a replacement set of front springs for my 29 Canadian Tudor. However, the reproduction set are somewhat different (the original springs have a channel running down the centre on three of the spring leafs, as well as the brackets are a lot thinner than the originals. Can anyone tell me if the channels in the old springs were the same as the originals. If these channelled leafs are the originals I plan on using the three springs with the channels as well as the original brackets. Am I asking for problems? This car did have a definite deviation to the drivers side but after removal the originals springs match the measurements when not under pressure, however the older springs do have definite wear groves from each of the springs and the spring perch busings are oblong and need to be replaced. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas on my next move? |
