K&N makes a small filter that will clamp directly onto the Zenith and clear the exhaust enuf to keep the heat from attacking the filter. These filters are a little pricy but rechargable by washing and coating the element. A larger K&N works well also but you will have to build a plenum from automotive exhaust tubing. I route mine up above the head to keep the filter in a cleaner stream of air and it has worked well. The larger filter needs cleaning less often by virtue of the exposed area of the element. And the dirtier the filter the better it cleans. Kind of like my shop... the amount of work I have in progress at any one time is directly proportional to the condition of the mess.

God Speed under 50.

The Model A Fool.

: Can someone recommend a good air filter. Since the Model A didn't have one the only aftermarket filter out there seems to be the Air Maze. While it will keep rocks and other larger objects out of the engine, it won't keep out the finer Particles. The paper filters that fit in the air maze seem too small for such a large engine. I would tend to think that they would also be very Restrictive and force the engine to run rich. Did the Model B have an air filter?
