:A. The shop is an experienced Model A shop but I wonder how it compares to others. Also to sandblast and paint eachwheel would be $35.Any comments?

$25/hr seems really cheap in today's economy, but the complete rebuilding of a 60 year old car will take many, many hours of work, so, the overall labour cost will be a tremendous amount of money-----what matters, in my opinion, is the ability and willingness of the worker to do best quality work, and your comfort level in relating to this person. there are many differences of opinion as to what constitutes acceptable quality level of work, so, hopefully, you and your engineer would be able to discuss comfortably the many little cost-effectiveness vs. quality-level details which will arise from time to time without unpleasantry between yourselves.

there's only one thing for certain---restoring any old car will cost a lot more time and money than you think--!
