I have good luck with the gravity feed gun with the cup on top. I think you mean HVLP, High Volume Low Pressure, the gravity feed is low pressure due to it needs just enough to atomize the paint. I took a chance an got it from JC Whitney for about $110 and it works very good. MAC sells the same for the same price and is their economy gun, they have different sizes of tips which also work in the JCW gun. The only thing with these is they need a hook or a cradle for parking. It does not do too well with the high build primers and I use the pressurized gun for that. The old style guns are OK with the large tip.

The true HVLP guns are BIG BUCKS and if you are doing onesy twosy jobs these do not make much sense to get. They like to start about $350 and up.
