:About to replace windshield glass and have cork setting material with synthetic backing.Does the cork set against the glass or framework? Is it required to use an adhesive and is it best to use one piece of setting material rather than cutting for corners? My A didn't have the front glass set and I would like to do this as original.Thanks in advance for your help.Fred M

Just went through same project. Tried using the cork setting
material, too thick and I cracked the windshied (another $125)
Recieved new windshield and corking yesterday, again real tight fit. Took it to a local glass shop, $10 and 10 minutes,
glass and frame installed.
