Flywheel Resurfacing

Hi Folks, It's time to have the old flywheel resurfaced.I have read that a constant depth of 1-1/8" must be maintained between the refaced surface and the annulus with the tapped holes for mounting the pressure plate.Is this correct?There is a slight lip on the annulus for the pressure plate to sit in.Should this be machined also? I'm not sure but I don't think so.Please advise.Any information on any part of or the whole process is greatley appreciated.Thanks in advance! Kevin Daly
