Sounds like insufficient gas supply - I'd address the situation this way
Disconnect the gas line from the carbureter, and turn the gas on.The gas should flow out strongly, filling a teacup in 10 seconds or less. If it just drips, or dribbles out, start working back and see where the blockage is. ALL the plumbing back to the gas tank, and the gas tank itself (Garbage in the bottom) is suspect until eliminated.
