: I have a 1928 Tudor Sedan that idles and runs just fine but
: after going around the block and its warms up it starts running 'rough', bucking and jumping around. It still idles
: fine but when you put it under a load is when the rough, bucking and overall bad performance occurs.... HELP,, any ideas??? is it the coil, timing or carburation????

Sounds like some sort of air leak to me. I'd start with the simple stuff first.Tighten you manifold nuts in sequence and the screws that hold your carb onto the intake manifold and check the condition of all air related gaskets too.Another guess may be fuel related.I had a similar problem with my 1930 coupe. It turned out to be that there was no air hole in the filler cap. This would not allow air into the tank to replace the volume of displaced fuel. This is very common on 28/29 models as the radiator and gas caps are virtually identical.Check for an air hole in your gas cap.You may have created a fuel vacuum under load.

Good Luck,
Kevin Daly
