Joe,

Yes, That will work to search the headers. The Search engine installed and called from WWWBoard searched all text in all messages on the system.Since each post is about 3 to 5 kbytes in size and there are 1000's of posts you are searching 10 to 20Mbytes of text each time a search is performed and this loaded the server too much.

: : Hello Everyone,

: : I'm sorry but the SEARCH ENGINE for the Model-A site is offline till further notice. It has been loading the server too much and I will have to do something else.

: : Sorry for any inconvience.

: Most web browsers have some sort of search engine built in.Try "Edit-Find" or something similar on your toolbar.Using this at least you'll be able to scan the message headings.

: (I actually found it worked faster than the webboard search engine when it was still working, but this is a 300 MHZ machine.)

: Best regards,
: Joe
