Rick,
The voltage regulator sold by Snyder's is a cutout and a voltage regulator and it installs and looks just like a stock cutout.The best feature though, is that you adjust the third brush with the hi beams on (for load) for the max output you want.After that the regulator varies the output based on the load and state of battery charge.The best part is that the horn works with the lights on and you don't cook the generator or the battery by overcharging under low demand situations.I don't own the company that makes these devices but I recommend them strongly.
