: : The Judging Standards (p12-8)states that a trim welt was used around the perimeter of the headliner on 1929 to early 1931 Town Sedans.I have a late '31 Town Sedan.Am I to assume that no welt was used on my car.No interior was in the car when I bought it.

: Don,

: That's correct. The trim welt was used on Deluxe straight windshield models and the early Victoria. It was dropped on the Victoria at the same time the 160 series Fordors were introduced.

i just went out and looked---my s/w ( murray # 886 ) has all its original upholstery, and has no trim of any kind between the vertical upholstery panels and the head-lining--

i am truly amazed at the work marco has done in researching all these fine point details-----!!
