Back before having a driver's licence (about '54) I had an "A" that I drove in the field across the street from my house.Since Gas was expensive ($0.21/gal) and we used oil heat in the house (which my father bought), I used 6 gal of #1 fuel oil to 4 gal of gas to run on.Started O.K., and ran just fine (but a little smokey).My Father used to wonder where all his heating oil went, though.
Ah - the good old days.
