Diesel Roadster..it runs..

Finally got the ole roadster streetable...and took er for a run up the freeway...neat..cruises easy at 60-65 ...I took er up to 70 several times to see if it would do it...yep...I was afraid to push er any faster..new diesel plus the ole A really isen't built for that kind of speed...
The diesel is a 4 cylinder Opel 90 hp.to 4800 rpm..almost the exact size as the stock engine...and weighs about the same...I am using the stock motor mounts...I extended the output shaft of the transmission 2 3/4 inches so that the Opel motor..mated to a stock bellhousing using the stock Opel flywheel and clutch would bolt directly to the transmission..everything else is stock..I did have to switch over to an electric winshield wiper...diesels don't make vacuum...but other than that it works neat...sorta sounds like I have four loose rods at idle...and kinda caused a stir at the gas station when the attendent saw me putting diesel in the car...Ha!its fun...
