: I am about to start restoring my 30 closed cab pickup and would like some advice from those of you who have been there. What types of primers and paints do you recommend for the frame and chassis componants that will hold up and look original.

Jay, I used the Eastwood chassis black paint which is good, but a little high priced.I had the frame and associated components sandblasted and epoxy primed, then painted it with the Eastwood paint.I've been happy with the results except for the fact that I've scratched it in a few places (big scratches). If I was to do it again, I would have it all powdercoated semigloss black. The only problem with powdercoating is that your frame has to be in pretty good shape since the baking process will melt any fillers that you use to fill pits, etc...Of course, someone that has actually powdercoated a frame should be able to give you more and better info.Good Luck
Bobby
