Mike,
Thanks, that image at least helps rule out the one gear...I still wonder about the accuracy of the others. Does an original gear have the ford script or some other identifying feature...to use to measure and compare with others, or is the possible difference too small to matter? I'd still prefer an exact replacement, and I wonder about the results of using that "bad gear" (and how many of those might be on engines out there)!
This site isn't set up so you can actually put an image with a post, as Marco said, I would guess for space reasons. If you have access to a server where you could put the image (most likely wherever your hompage is or where your net provider gives you the space for one) you can do that and then put a link to the image in, just like you can put in a link to another website. The difference is that the image feature on this page gets the image from the other site and displays it automatically, instead of waiting for you to select the link.

The image that hopefully comes up when you read this post is stored on NCSU's web server, along with my home page (which I REALLY need to update), the script behind this site told your browser to go get that image from that server.

(or at least this is conceptually related to how it all really works!).
