Ken, my experience has been that a "prime" coat of green engine paint followed by a top coat of the same paint about 10 minutes later works well. Mr. Model A was given this treatment and 10,000 miles later he has a nice green patina peeking through the oil and dirt and grunge that his Foolish human has neglected to keep cleaned off. God Speed under 50. The Model A Fool. : I am having a replacement flywheel cover sandblasted as we speak. After it is done...will I have to use some type of primer on the housing before I spray on my Model A engine paint? I have been advised by one fellow to just spray the engine paint on without anything else. This does not sound right to me. What say ye? |
