Mike,
The Judging Standards and Restoration Guidlines has a section on Canadian built Model "A"s. Page F-2 lists the engine numbers by month starting in Feb 1928 with CA1 and continuing through CA 150120 in August of 1929. Thereafter they used CA plus another letter and ran in increments of 10,000. If would send your engine number, I can look it up for you and give you an approximation of when the engine was built. Of course, if the engine has been replaced it will be of little value. U.S. produced cars had the engine stamped into the top of the frame on the drivers (left) side, but I don't believe the Canadian cars had the frame stamped. As Alex mentioned, I would be very interested in anything stamped into the top of the front body cross member or on either side rail. I have been collecting these numbers and trying to make some sense of them.
Regards,
Dave
