First chuck all your bulbs (or send them to me I'm staying with 6 for the time being - just to be retro).Get a battery and hook it up NEGATIVE ground.Replace ALL the bulbs.Rebuild your starter for 12V. Bratton's has 12 volt fields for your starter since it tends to shear the bolts on the bendix if you run it on 12V.Use a 12 volt coil that runs WITHOUT a resistor like the 67-72 V.W. Beetle coils.Hook it up reverse from the present one since you're now Negative ground (+ terminal to the ammeter).
Get a voltage dropper for the Horn (Bratton sells them) and get an Alternator. You can rebuild your stock generator for 12V but why??Install your stereo, electric window lifts, power locks, CB and enjoy-
