Jim-
The powerhouse generators used ball bearings for both the front and rear bearings.They were lubricated with grease before assembly and normally don't need re-lube until rebuilding time.I used a modern sealed bearing replacement on the front, but used the original bearing on the rear as there isn't a replacement available. I think the powerhouse generators are a much better design than the later long style, but you have to be careful not to turn up the charging rate more than 10 amps for extended driving or you can melt solder inside.

: what oil/grease is used in the ph generator?being a higher speed part i would assume an oil rather than a grease.
