: have 30 model a trying to start motor car in storage 7 yrs. mags---mr chauvin's advice is accurate and thorough and you should have an easy job starting your engine if you follow his directions----i could add only one other thing---and this is a matter of opinion--sometimes an engine thats been stored will suffer a bearing failure cos the oil pump screen will have become clogged with congealed sludge, so the bearings will be starved for oil when the engine is run---this may or may not be the case with any particular engine---it depends on the quality of oil and the change interval used by the previous owners---in my own opinion, the time spent to remove the oil sump and clean out the sludge in the engine is worthwhile.-- if only as a precaution----
