: Hello, : For the sake of curiousity, I would like to see how many "younger" people (teens through twenties) are getting into the Model "A" Hobby. : It would be nice to have some sort of correspondence among the future of the hobby. The national clubs are trying to spark "youth drives" to get the next generation of "A" bugs inrder to maintain our common goal:The preservation of the Model "A" so it can entertain future generations as it has entertained present and past generations. : Next generation, identify yourself! : Thanks! : Brian Burkert Well Brain, I not in my teen's or 20's anymore but not to far from it. I have been involved with antique cars for many years thanks to my grandpa. He have one of the bigger Model "A" Ford salvage yards around the country. He had everything from A to Z when it came to Model "A" Not that he is gone I have inheriated his very last purchase of course a 1930 Model A coupe. I have had another Model A that I had strated many years ago starting ground up and it was a very early 1928 with the parking brake on the left side of the driver just like the Model T. Now that I have the money to restore my coupe and the shop and tools to do it with I have no time now, with a family and all things that come with having kids. I guess that I will have to save the project for when I retire which will be in 35 years. so all you need to do is to keep that old Ford and it will stickwith you for many many years, it has for me for 32 years and counting!!!!!!John |
