I've seen similar markings in years past and had assumed they represented Briggs Manufacturing Co. However, many common body stampings were supplied to Ford by the Budd Manufacturing Co. Whether this extended to slant windshield models I have no way to know. The stampings probably represent Briggs, but without more info it's impossible to be sure.
