: when installing my front spindles, I noticed that my locking pin only goes in one way, with the nut to the front, all of the books, say it should be nut to the rear. for mine to be this way my axle would have to be turned around, will it be a problem to leave this way. : thanks for any help, jim Jim, the nut for the locking pin serves as a stop for the spindle assy to hit on in a full turn. Technically it may work to leave it that way but I like to put things back the way Henry intended them to be. The most difficult part of turning the axle around would be your spring, if that is assembled. If your spring is not on the axle then the job would go along quickly. Frankly, removal of the front spring is not that difficult of a job either, plenty of folks here could describe the procedure for that. It can stay connected to the frame so you only have to remove the axle assy. -DAN
